Hi Everyone!!
Finally iv arrived in Guadeloupe, an amazing island in the middle of the carribean!! Please excuse the typos as im using a european keyboard which is different to those in Aus!
Where do I begin, so far iv been to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York and Puerto Rico!
Los Angeles wasnt exactly the glam I expected of Hollywoods "Hub" in the world! The Hostel we stayed at though pretty much made our time there...
LA is pretty dirty and dingy to put it mildly...although the people where surprisingly very nice considering the number of tourists wandering around.
Hollywood Boulevard where we stayed was always alive at night and looked like a hole by day but admittedly the best entertainment was by far watching the "excentric" characters that seemed to be everywhere in Hollywood!! ...The Hostel organised activities we participated in which lightened up the mood a bit.. on the first night there was a comedy show (which was prety bad.. but a talking point) .. the second night we went on a Limo tour which we were running late to as we were busy shopping in Santa Monica one of the nicest areas in
Final Goodbyes
to Dom (my bro).... LA. They also organised a night out on the town which was fun but the clubs and bars didnt really impree me that much... on the last night though we found an awesome bar which was very classy, it was basically a pool in the middle and lounge chairs all around the outside and where we also had the pleasure of meeting a rap artist who apparently has a number one album in america!.. of whom I think was extreemly unimpressed when I said " im so very sorry but I have no idea who you might be".. this was at the end of the night!!! hahahaha
Las Vegas was a screem!! HOT HOT and HOTTER ...by far one of the most insane places iv been to and we werent even there on a weekend!! The hotel we stayed at was incredible to say the least as you can see by the photos and the night life was from another world... basically our time here consisted of sleeping, shopping, eating, lounging by the oversized Roman pools and going out.. gambling didnt make it onto the list as none of us were gamblers however there was plenty of other things
Final Goodbyes
to Kiho (my bros girl, luv her..) to do!! we also went on a ride that hung over the side of a building called "insanity" if this paints an appropriate picture..
By the end we were exhausted and needed a holiday so we continued onto New York...
New York!! New York!!
Great night life.. very classy bars .. but the food was shocking!!!! we found an amazing little Japanese restaurant around the corner from our hostel which pretty much saved us as the only other things to eat are take away fatty foods ... did i mention the cheese is crap in America and almost everything has cheese on it..... including chips... feril!!.. anyway it was miso soup for breakfast lunch and tea and i loved every second of it!!!!
we stayed just off broadway near time square which was great fun!!! shows on constantly... people everywhere, lights! cameras! and action on every corner and funily enough some of the best homless buskers iv ever heard in my life!!!! was great... a city id definately live in!!
we went and saw a show called "Rent" which was brilliant and for anyone that plans to se it if it comes back Melbourne ... the second half is
Final Goodbyes
to my mum...(ok so mabey not our best sides) much better than the first!!! Did the whole tourist thing .. visited the Statue of Liberty.. was great... its a statue though so there's only so much you can expect of it and also went to Empire State Building which is a must as the view of New York Is awesome!!! ... oh and cant forget to mention yellow cabs.. they are everywhere... like little lemmings.... just there cabs...
Puerto Rico!!
So we stayed in San Juan which was great... have to admit wasnt all that impressed with Puerto Rico however we did meet this great group of uni students who took us to a uni night which was fantastic fun... basically to set the scene... a pub like any of ours with 1 dollar carona's and packed with layed back funky 20 odd year olds salsa dancing and having a ball... and they are so good its mesmorising!!! and yes for all you romantics the guys still do actually ask the girls if theyd like to dance and it's like watching salsa dancing competitions amongst young people in a pub!!! wierd experience, should be more of it in the world and by far my best experience in Puerto
Final Goodbyes
my Dad .. (a heart tugger) Rico. Site seeing stuff was mostly in old San Juan which was beautiful and went and visited the castles also where the still have the canons mounted and the canon balls stacked up!!!!
Finally brings me to Guadeloupe... i know iv missed heaps but covered the main things definatly...
By this stage a holiday was well deserved and Guadeloupe is definately the place to do that!!!
Crystal blue waters that look like swimming pools but are beaches.... we have our own apartment and car so we spend our days visiting the most beautiful beaches... having my cousin over and his friends for dinner and having great conversation in a language we have called "franglishiano" a mix of french, spanish, english and italian!!!!
The weekends are spent on Gianni's friends speed boat and jet skii visiting close by islands....relaxing all day in the pristine waters around the area... ok ok il stop now!!! hahaha its definatley the life but admittedly id get pretty bored if I lived here... there's only so much you cqn work on the tan and spend time at the beach!!!
Ok so that pretty much brings us up to date, finally!!!
It takes
