Ahoy all and welcome once more to my adventures around the globe. you will currently find me in wellington, New Zealand and as always its time to update you all on the highs and lows of my time in New Zealand. lets get cracking
At my last post i had left Australia and arrived in NZ, sadly myself, josh and Gaz with wallets that were considerably lighter than we would have liked, but that is what you get for indulging in a hedonistic lifestyle of wine, women and song. in reality we had just spent too much time on the beers and therefore needed employment..fast.
And fast it was as by the second day of our travels me and josh both had employment and Gaz, who seemingly wanted to outdo both of us had two cheeky git. so for the last six weeks i have been working my oversized socks off as a labourer on an Auckland building site. This also does explain the lack of a blog as i really haven't been up to much barworking. My tasks on the site are numerous and challenging including sanding, carrying, getting the gaffers pie at lunchtime and because of my superior

Exactly what it says on the tin height spotting attractive girls from distance so we can all line up and wolf whistle at them. as i said its a challenging job and one i feel utilises all of my best qualities. i also have in the past 6 weeks drunk enough cups of tea to sink a battleship, and got given my own hard hat that sadly i cannot fit in my bag to bring home..tragic. in truth the job was perfect for my situation as it was regular hours, good rate of pay and contained a boss who every Friday took us down the local and whacked about $500 behind the bar for us employees to crash through, not bad considering there was only 10 of us.
So with all of us working, Josh in data entry - nerd, and Gaz workin in a clothes shop by day and a bar by night we all return in the evening suitably knackered and crash out in our hostel that has free movie showings every night. apart from after our first pay daywhen we thought we would go out for a few quiet drinks which involved going out at 7pm and arriving back at 7pm when the hostel
Jammo the weatherman
if you look here you will see that im about to get soaked owner was just reopening reception. he took great pleasue in telling us a few days later that we were all very merry and when he tried to talk to us none of us could focus properly or string a coherent sentence together, sounds about normal for me.
I have been able to do a few touristy things like climb Mt Eden and go up the Sky Tower and i have developed a real liking for Auckland and NZ in general. its like Australia but a lot more chilled out which suits me down to the ground.
After working i decided in my last week to head down here to Wellington to catch up with my mate Shorty and then rendezvous with Josh who was coming up from the South Island before returning to Auckland in a few days. so here i am in Welly and with just a few days before i depart for Fiji for the next leg of my odyssey. we all felt that with all this tiring and draining travelling we'd been doing across the globe we all deserved a nice beach holiday. so on Sat we fly to Fiji for 6 days before going to lA
The Sky Tower
Almost as tall as i am to begin 3 weeks travel across the States.
So my next post will hopefully be after Fiji and will i hope contain more tales of my adventures. in the meantime cheerio from NZ and always remember my motto "it it's wet, drink it"
Adios
