Woke up at 6 for the 6.30 dive to find the dive wasn't happening due to bad weather 😞 We were quite relieved to be able to go back to sleep, but on the other hand it was a bit annoying as it was only reason we'd come to Ukamas. With nothing else to do in Ukamas we headed to Durban where we would say goodbye to our our car companions, Gary and Nicki before heading on to Pietermaritzburg.

Got quite lost trying to find accomodation in Pietermaritzburg and when we found it, it wasn't that great. Luckily we fell across a really big, really lovely, old victorian house where we got a knock down price because it was in the late stages of re-decoration (there was only a mirror missing from the bathroom... later we found we had no hot water and the TV didnt work!). Clive, the chap after the place for his son, told us about the Midlands Meander; a long set of roads with hotels, craft activities and other forms of entertainment.

Out of the pages and pages of things to do, we decided

Goats are not like dogs - they cant catch food.
to go see the goats cheese being made and visit the local brewery. We had so much sample cheese at the goats cheese place that we were too full to buy any. Luckily the lady wasn't looking when T was cutting up the cheese as she had the hugest amount compared to what everyone else was given! We then went and fed the goats - cool!
After the brewery (which turned out to just really be a pub), we went to an African resturant that was also on the meander for a posh dinner. T made me have Pap as she'd lived on it for a few weeks on her african tour. Yuk!

Last day for Paul. After a wonder around the grounds of the house we were staying at we headed the long way to J'burg. First stop at J'burg was to find the backpackers where Tamsin had left all her shoes and handbags she'd bought in Vietnam (a rediculous amount!). After that, we went onto the airport.

Only 2 months until Tamsin comes back to England, so not long now. It's been great doing my mini-travelling with T and its

been completely adventure packed - the opposite to what I normally do on holiday. Am looking forward to lots more mini-travels with T in the future.

Blogging back to T from now on.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that a lady cannot have too many shoes and handbags

well done Paul
Really enjoyed your input Paul and glad you have enjoyed your action packed holiday. for what it is worth before I became a 'Sebba' I had done very little adventurous anything. As a sebba I have learnt to paraglide, ski, horse ride and even weld!!
