Big news!! Mom, you know how you always said you wanted to be a grandmother?? welll....guess what??

haha...just kidding....dont hold your breath on that one. However, I was unable to bump back my flight and will be home in a week...crrripes.

On my last flight I was sitting beside this very funny Aussie Cat. It was pretty early in the morning and the captain of our flight interrupted our conversation over the loud speakers with the usual flight banter. He said "welcome aboard everyone. Our cruising altitude will be 32,000 feet and the temperature in Bangkok is 35 degrees celcius. Our expected arrival time is 9:36am. I hope you enjoy your flight and your travels". He then intends to sign off, but accidentily doesnt turn off the microphone. He goes on talking with his co-pilot. He talks briefly about the weather and then says "man, to tell you the truth, all I could really use right now is a coffee and a blowjob". Everyone on the plane stopped what they were doing and froze in astonishment at what they'd just heard. As the pilot continued talking the flight attendent went sprinting up the aisle towards the cockpit to tell him to turn off the microphone. At which point my buddy beside me yells "DONT FORGET THE COFFEE!!!"....priceless.

Spent a few days on Ko Samet. Great little peaceful Island. 3rd wheeled it with a couple from Manchester England. Great peope! The guy (Joel) is a huge NHL fan but hasnt followed the N in the past 3 years. So he was grilling me for a good 4 days on what has happened in the last 3 years. So, I told him of this guy you may have heard of...Sidney Crosby???
Fortunately, one season didnt even take place, otherwise I would have gotten sick of talking about hockey.....didnt think that was possible. It was a refreshing break from hearing all about Soccer teams tho, let me tell you. I have met soooo many cool English people its incredible. The accents were a bit much for me at first, but are growing on me and I've also adopted many of their sayings...as have they of mine. The word "pooched" now has a strong cult following in England. I have many cities to visit if I ever go to England, but I mean, what is there to really see there? There probably wouldnt be so many Brits travelling if there was anything to see and judging by all their skin tones, the sun hasnt seen England in the last 20 years.

I'm currently in Thailand, living the dream on an Island called Ko Pha Ngan. I just came back from the beach and got an oil massage. It was incredibly relaxing aside from when the Thai girl was massaging my stomach. For whatever reason, I kept giggling like a school girl, or perhaps more like the Pillsbury Dough Boy...minus the dough.

Ko Pha Ngan is home to the full moon party, where about 12,000 of your closest backpacking friends all come together on a beautiful thai beach. The party starts tonight, probably around midnight and will end sometime in the next 24 hours. I cant wait! I have a bus ticket for Phuket which leaves at 11 am tomorrow morning. I plan on not sleeping and just having a few red bulls to keep the caffeine flow going. Assuming I dont miss the bus, its a 9 hour ride, but should be sweet because I'll be meeting up with Pope and Shaw. I'll try and remember how everything goes and fill you in...if not on the blog, in person, when I'm back in Toronto

Its crazy to think that I'll go from being a backpacker in Thailand, chilling on the worlds most beautiful beaches with the feeling that the world is at my finger tips and having drinks with people from England, Switzerland, Peru, Israel etc....to be an unemployed 24 year old living at home with his mom and 2 cats....one of which is now deaf and blind.

Here's a quick trivia question: There are 5 countries in the world that are all one syllable long...can you name them??? HINT: I've been to 1 of them recently....ANOTHER HINT: Its NOT Bangladesh.

Jez...out.
