They hung out together ALL the time!!!
There are thousands of Travel Agencies in Banos that offer Jungle tour. The first one we go to… they were really nice and they spoke English. So we kinda got excited and scheduled a trip with them! So the next morning we were off with our fabulous tour guide, Mario! Who told us to call him Super Mario, which we gladly did!

So we left from Banos to Puyo, which is about an hour and a half drive?! The most beautiful drive ever and I had the best view; Super Mario got me a front row seat in the bus so I could see everything. Anyways when we got there we got some food supplies, because we needed to cook for ourselves in the Jungle, and when I say ourselves I mean Mario. He’s such a good cook. After that we took a car from Puyo to deeper in the jungle to our cabin, it was about another hour, again amazing views. When we got to our first cabin we dropped off our stuff and hiked to a beautiful waterfall. When we got there we went swimming in the waterfall, while Super Mario tried to catch us some fish for dinner. Tres jungle-like!

Later on that day we took a canoe from our first cabin (where we parked our stuff and made food) to our second (where we were gonna stay over night). When we got to the second cabin… oh my god! PARADISE! I swear to god Its so amazing there… first of all its right on the river and the place was FULL of animals. Dogs, beautiful birds including Great Green Macaw, Perots, Perroquet, ect. , a Boa (but it was in a big box don’t worry), two of the smallest cutest monkeys in the world who were so playfull, and lets not forget Sir William Nezbit the 3rd, my puppy, and a whole bunch of other animals! I was in Paradise!

The next morning we were on our way to go visit an Indigenous community that was situated on the other side of the river, up a hill and through the jungle. We got there by canoe with the people that live at the cabins cuz they had to get some ucas. We were led by their dog and Super Mario had to use his macheti to through the thick jungle to get us there! So jungle! I got attacted by mini mini bees that I couldnt even see! They sting like hell. When we finally got to the village thing, it was very simple, very peaceful, kids were playing and there werent adults around! One house had a monkey and a dear tied their house, I liked that one. This one monkey wouldnt get off of my head but he was very friendly so its all good. And then these two kids brought us to see some really beautiful views of rivers and mountains from higher up.

When we got back to our cabin we had to eat and pack our stuff quickly so we wouldnt miss the bus to Puyo, which we did. So we got an extra 2 hours with the animals I was very excited about that! And we got a ride in the trunk of a truck to get to Puyo, which was so effin cool. This was probably the most relaxing, peacuful trip ever. Im in love with the jungle and definetly going back!
