Hey monkeys!!
Yes I´m still in Cancun...its growing on me a little, probably thanks to a few nights out and some sights today.... but I think I´ll still head to Playa del Carmen early this week.
Went out on Thursday night to a massive club called Coco Bongo....... was pretty awesome... apart from being packed and playing some ok music... they put on these movie based shows every half an hour or so....they are unbelievable!!!... the first thing we saw when we walked in (we being myself and some other cats from the hostel I´m staying at) was 3 girls dressed as vampires flying across the heads of the crowd while a Van Helsing and a Dracula battled it out in the middle of the dancefloor on a raised platform.... and then they were hoisted into the air to continue fighting ...all in time to thumping music and a kick ass light show.
Next night Orrin, a big pommy guy, and I headed to another club called They City, which is the biggest club in Cancun. It was big, but didn´t have the same atmosphere of Coco Bongo. They had acrobatic performances every now and then much like
they other place, but not of the same calibre. Good thing about both places, as it is with most of the clubs on the ´hotel strip´is that you pay a cover charge..the most I´ve paid is $25 USD.. and its an open bar, so its not a bad deal....in fact...its a GOOD THING!!!
Had a bit of sun this morning, so shot off to the beach for the first time... the colour of the water is unbelievable...such a vivid bright blue. And I reckon the water was about 23/24 degrees... bit warm for my liking.... but great just the same. But as it is rainy season (its actually hurricane season, but nobody tell my mum huh!!), the rain came in....we belted off and took refuge in the only appropriate place we could think of....Hooters!!!
Then shot off to the local aquarium where we saw a ton of funky sea creatures...patted a shark and a stingray...(which I swear tried to stab me in the heart) and bussed it back to the hostel. Said farewell to Orrin and Dan, a young american lad touring Sth America.... and now I´m sitting here...but about to head back out tonight and try and
get some pics of Coco Bongo as I forgot my camera the first night
So amigos, until the next thrilling installment
Its Tony Farquhar saying
Good Night

Presidentee' Chop Chop
Chop, looks fantastic there - great to see the good times rolling on! Playing with stingrays - safer to spank a monkey! (or so I'm told!)Looking forward to next informative instalment mate.
