In December 2006 I left my job as 'Interdisciplinary Research Officer' at the University of Manchester. Before setting out on my RTW trip, I carried out a vast amount odf de-cluttering and de-junking, completed a number of careers books, produced web sites and a chapter for London Transport Museum, plus generated some ideas for further articles. I completed by TEFL training in expectation that I would go to Vietnam for 6 months, but after 4 months of problems with i-to-i I received my money back and rethought my plans. The final route generated was as follows: http://www.bex.ww2poster.co.uk/career/rtw_travel.htm. The original GAP date for South America fell through so I gained an extra 2 weeks in New Zealand.

Whilst away I arranged to work for Oak Hall over the summer of 2008 as a Tour Leader and am looking forward to an exciting summer working on their trips in Europe (see: My Potential Summer Itinerary), potentially also a winter season. In the meantime, ideas for the future continue to be worked upon alongside, and I am attempting to learn Italian.
