TRAVELSAPIEN adds that the SONY people have put out a "music to drive by" series called Drivetime and one of the featured sets of music is for those traveling the Original Route 66. Funny how a highway can reach immortality and is treated with such reverence. Amazing. No harm though. There was indeed a time road touring was an exciting element of a life adventure. Today more and more want "instant travel gratification" That may be caused by "time poverty". Seems fewer people have the time to sit in traffic or find excitement in roadside diners. Pity. A truly Americana way that should never be forgotten. Love Route 66 It deserves the attention.
