Funny how a highway can reach immortality and is treated with such reverence. Amazing. No harm though. There was indeed a time road touring was an exciting element of a life adventure. Today more and more want "instant travel gratification" That may be caused by "time poverty". Seems fewer people have the time to sit in traffic or find excitement in roadside diners. Pity.
