Help with overland travel between Bangkok and Yangon, Myanmar
16 years ago, February 1st 2008 No: 1 Msg: #26495
Hi everybody. I'll be in Thailand in Feb-Mar and I'm keen to travel one way overland between Bangkok and Yangon. I'm of the view it might be better/easier to do it coming out of Myanmar rather than going in. Has anybody had recent experience in doing this or have some knowledge of what I might expect. Thanks Reply to this

Hi Aussie Pete, You can come to Myanmar from Yangon Port and get out from three places as far as i know. That is border crossing. Maesot - myawaddy border/ Ranoong - Myeik border/ Maesei - tarchileik border. But all three places you have to fly there from the cities in Myanmar like Yangon and Mandalay. Hope it helps.
thanks
