Aussie Pete Peter Miller Post Count: 2 Msg: #1 661 days ago, February 1st 2008 | Hi everybody. I'll be in Thailand in Feb-Mar and I'm keen to travel one way overland between Bangkok and Yangon. I'm of the view it might be better/easier to do it coming out of Myanmar rather than going in. Has anybody had recent experience in doing this or have some knowledge of what I might expect. Thanks | Izzy Issy Issy Post Count: 7 Msg: #2 661 days ago, February 1st 2008 | Hello!! Aussie Pete!! That is border crossing. Maesot - myawaddy border/ Ranoong - Myeik border/ Maesei - tarchileik border. But all three places you have to fly there from the cities in Myanmar like Yangon and Mandalay. Hope it helps. | thanks TsukinoDeynatsu TsukinoDeynatsu Post Count: 19 Msg: #4 656 days ago, February 5th 2008 | head to http://www.seat61.com , there's information and fares on all the trains in both countries, as well as customs etc. | HARV3Y Renee Harvey Post Count: 88 Msg: #5 251 days ago, March 16th 2009 | I know you are asking about traveling by land but I just came across a AU$50 flight to Yangon, Myanmar from Bangkok with AirAsia! | Mell Mell Post Count: 13894 Msg: #6 251 days ago, March 17th 2009 | If you find more cool flight offers Renee, would you report them in Cheap flights alert! so we can grab them while they are cheap. :) | HARV3Y Renee Harvey Post Count: 88 Msg: #7 251 days ago, March 17th 2009 | Will do Mell =) | slimcat Agtunn Naymin Post Count: 6 Msg: #8 251 days ago, March 17th 2009 | airasia offered free flight so far long ago. hope some had benefit | HARV3Y Renee Harvey Post Count: 88 Msg: #9 250 days ago, March 17th 2009 | Yes, I got flights from KL --> Singapore and Singapore to Phuket for about AU$30 each =) However I paid a normal price from Brisbane, Australia to KL. | Number of Users: 6 | Number of Posts: 9 | |||||||||||||||||
