Hey all thanks for reading,

Just wanted to know how far the THSR (speed rail) is away from the Taipei airport? I am, well I have to go to Kaohsuing as soon as I get of the plane (to meet a freind) and they didnt have anyother flights available. So is it far from the airport I guess is my question? Reply to this

The airport is "neer" Taipei .
There's a THSR station neer the airport.
Taking a cab won't be too difficult to get to the THSR station in 20 mins.
Be careful. I'm saying about the Taoyuan Station, not the Taipei Station.
I'm not sure if there is shuttle bus survice, though.
Maybe~~~~~

You can always get a bus from Taoyuan (Taipei, CKS) airport from the bus downstairs. Should take about 5 hours (?) and cost maybe $20 (USD/AUD).... try and take the 'presidential' buses because they're FAR more comfortable than the extra $1 or $2 in the price makes you believe!

Otherwise the nearest THSR station (or train station at all!) is Taoyuan City ... you can get taxis from the airport (say 'wo yao qu taoyuan huo che zhan' (我要去桃園火車站) ) or buses from the bus station - most bus stations will give you a small map with the location of the bus stop and a few main things in the city (like the station) marked out, so you shouldn't have to many troubles.

Out of the normal trains (not highspeed trains) the qiang-something (sorry! I think they're called zi-qiang 自強 trains) are the fastest (most express) and it goes down from there by price 😊 Reserving a seat is a good idea. Reply to this
