Air Travel inside Europe

 Europe
Would you recommend to reserve airline tickets in advance? And how reliable are the inside Europe airlines, such as RyanAir and such? Anything I should know before reserving the tickets?

I am going to Europe on June 18 and planning to stay until July 23, I am wondering wherether anybody ever used RyanAir or easyJet, or any other cheap inside-Europe airlines? Is the any particular things to keep in mind when pre-ordering tickets and plannning the trip?

I've used Ryanair and it works great!

Just be aware that they will charge extra weight in the check-in luggage, and anything you may want to drink or eat in the aircraft is not for free.

And that you'll probably be visiting airports outside of the main cities. I went from Rome to Barcelona a few weeks ago using RyanAir and actually flew into Gerona, an hour north of Barcelona. But otherwise, it's a good reliable service as far as I know.

Skytrax offers a good amount of reviews of any air company:

Skytrax

Major budget airlines are: Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Berlin, Vueling Airlines, Jet2, Wizzair,...You won't have problems with those (except the secondary airports used by Ryanair, already mentioned, and the weight limit. Read the conditions carefully ). The earlier you purchase the better.

I appreciate all of your comments. I am planning to pre-order the tickets to all the destination, a few months in advance. Most likely end of February to mid-March. But thanks again for all of your help.
