Looking for names of premium tour operators to put together a visit to BA, Patagonia, and maybe another location. I'm primarily interested in the premium companies; cost isn't much of an issue. Maybe somebody of the caliber of Ker & Downey (has anybody used them for Argentina?). Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated! Any MUST DO locations beyond the obvious would also be helpful. Thanks! | pseudo sic sally sally sally Post Count: 23 Msg: #2 107 weeks ago, November 28th 2007 | hola | i admit it, i am oppossed to tour operators in every sense nd context . but trust me (i am living in argentina at the moment) you are probably better off, price wise too going without a tour trip. argentina is a wonderful place to travel, the people are great. and don´t let your level of spannish hold u back (even if it is non existant). if u want. tell me the time period u have nd i´ll send u some ideas. its schools hols here nd im happy to lend a hand. if u arent keen on bussing, flying is a good option. seba Cesar Post Count: 5 Msg: #3 107 weeks ago, November 29th 2007 | Yessss , you don't need a tour. Just my opinion. You can rent a car in Buenos Aires, for example, and drive to Bariloche and Mendoza, flight to Tierra de Fuego (the trip by car is a bit bored and long); if you preffer something more "tropical" Misiones is a very nice place (with the ¿waterfalls? Iguazú). Finally, in the north, in some places, you will have to lear a bit of spanish, if you go to non-touristic places (sometimes the best places) you sholud lear a bit of the language. | "Asatej" is a very popular and international tour operator. Good luck, cesar. Number of Users: 3 | Number of Posts: 3 | |||||||||||
