Late Transportation from San Jose to Arenal
Looking for a cheap transportation to Fortuna(Arenal) that leaves in the evening

Does anyone know a way to go to La Fortuna(Arenal Volcano), leaving San Jose at 4PM or after without renting a car or hiring a private shuttle? We are coming back from Corcovado on the same day we leave for Fortuna, and the public bus from Corcovado(Palmar Norte) will not arrive in San Jose until 3:30pm. It seems that we will miss the last public bus and all the shared shuttle services to Fortuna, but we would like to avoid spending $150 for private shuttle if we could. I would appreciate your help! hi Jennifer, all you need you find here at The bus schedule. Unfortunately I think you will not make it. You arrive at 15:30 but I'm sure you will not come out of the airport before 17:00. For 150$ you can more then stay in a nice hotel around the airport.
