hi there 4 of us traveling to thailand and of march 08 for about 4 month havent really planned anything just gonna go with the flow where ever the wind takes us would love to chat to anyone going that time of year !! what you have planned where your gonna start or anything really
Reply to this i'll be in thailand in march 08 i land on the 8th of march and i'll only be there for 3 weeks but i intend on getting a lot done i'm actually doing a geckos grass root trip (i think it's called thailand in depth by geckos adventure travel i think they're australian) and then I have a few days to get back to bangkok from puket at my leisure. I'm doing a RTW ticket so i'll be off to europe after that....anyways just thought i'd let you know when i'll be there if you're interested
Reply to this Hi, I will be travelling to Thailand on my own in March and have not made too many plans yet. I would like to check out southern thailand then travel to vietnam, laos and cambodia. I need to get out of Ireland and chill on the beches. Are you going to fly in to Bangkok?
Reply to this Hi pat,
i'm actually doing a 15 day geckos tour then a few days of nothing planned at all i'll just need to get from phuket to bangkok at some point so i can catch my flight....heres the link http://www.geckosadventures.com/sth_east_asia/trip_overview.asp?trip=2700
i dont know if you guys would want to do a tour..i'm just doing one for safety reasons when i first get there cuz well i'll be by myself and my mum almost died when i told her i was going to travel the world all by my self! lol
Reply to this I checked that link and it seems pretty cool. A bit expensive but if u wait about two months before u go you might get a better price.
Reply to this hey john, i've already booked actually so its garunteed right now...i bartered with my travel agent and got a few hundred dollars knocked off (in totall with the local fee it'll be about 1g for me) it is expensive but like i said earlier it was just to give my mother some kind of peice of mind that i wouldn't be wondering south east asia by myself....i'm taking this one cuz it was really encompassing a lot of the places i wanted to go and believe it or not was one of the most reasonable..... i will be flying in and our of bangkok..... sorry i called you pat earlier i got a bit confused with how this blog thing works! hahahahah anyways....the moral of my story is ya its works out to under 100 dolllars a day (i know thats still pricey) but it covers all the traveling (if your going to thailand by urself be careful with train tickets i've heard they can be tricky and sell you expired tickets then your obviously shit out of luck...)
and besides...i'm not quite sure how i'd get to stay with locals otherwise....my cousin did something similar to this trip and loved it! when are you leaving???? i really want to go to vietnam/laos andcambodia i'm so jealous!
Reply to this i think i will do it as it would nice to have something arranged when you arrive in bangkok and get a chance to see the country. Are you staying around after the trip or heading back home.
I am thinking of leaving in march. I must check how much the planes tickets are so I can go when there is a cheap flight. Must try and save a bit of cash.
Reply to this i'll have a few days to get from phuket back to bangkok and get any last minute sights i wanted to see in bangkok. I'm flying to London from Bangkok actually so maybe u can give me some ideas of where to go when i get to your mainland! haha ya i've been working like crazy trying to make as much money as possible
how long are you planning on being there?
Reply to this Hi all, I'll be in Thailand from 3 March till the 31st. I go for my first "real" travel experience alone. Anyone who also goes to thailand this period: just message me to meet up, do a little road together or just have a drink. Cheers.
Reply to this I'm off to Thailand In March too for just over 2 weeks (12th - 27th). It's all I can take off from work. My current plan is to spend a week in the north and a week in the south, most likely on Koh Pangang for the full moon party. Everyone I've spoken to says I have to go there!
Reply to this Hi all if you're interesting to come to Bangkok and you need some advise. I live in Bangkok but I stayed in US for 15 years, but I can be able to help you out with your plan. Just let me know. Thus, I do plan to travel to Europe next year as well, so I might need your guys help.

Reply to this this is exciting, so many ppl going to thailand in March! I'm a solo female traveling to thailand, arriving 3/18 and leaving 4/3. Just like others have said, I hope to see and do a lot. I don't have much "planned" as I want to be open to experience anything when I get there. Of course I'm arriving in Bangkok.

I agree with Onn. I recommend PP Island, Lanta Island. If you land on Krabi and you can getting around small islands a lot of fun waiting you. Krabi Airport is very new !!!
