Please advise. aida aida roslan Post Count: 8 Msg: #2 113 weeks ago, October 17th 2007 | hi, | i don't think its possible to get a 2 bedroom apartment for MYR 350 per night in or very near to bukit bintang. the only one that i know of that is really nice and about 5 minutes walk to the bukit bintang area is 'Somerset Seri Bukit Ceylon', which is slightly more at around MYR 390 - MYR 440. you can check out their website at www.somerset.com - they also have a map of their location. the same company owns 'The Ascott', which is right next to the twin towers (just a bit further than bukit bintang) but its more than double the price. the rest of the service apartments around there are all above MYR 400. otherwise there is 'Holiday Villa' which is on jalan ampang but to get to the bukit bintang area you would have to take a taxi and depending on traffic, it can take longer than 10 minutes but that is about MYR 350 per night. i hope that helps, if you need anymore info, then just get in touch :) andrepkh Andrep Khan Post Count: 4 Msg: #3 113 weeks ago, October 17th 2007 | Hi Aida, | Thanks for your reply. I agree with you about costs, and now we have increased our budget to MYR 350 to MYR 400 Whats is your opinion about the following finds: 1. KL Plaza Suites ( Bukit Bintang ) USD 80/= 2. Holiday Villa Apartment Suites (KLCC Vicinity) USD 78/= 3. SuCasa Service Apartment (KLCC Vicinity) USD 80/= Please comment. aida aida roslan Post Count: 8 Msg: #4 113 weeks ago, October 18th 2007 | hi | considering there really isn't much difference in the prices, i suggest you go for the KL Plaza Suites because it really is in the bukit bintang area. the other two are on jalan ampang and therefore further away. taxis would cost quite a lot to get into the bukit bintang area especially during peak hours where they would either refuse to take you there or try to charge you some insane price without using the meter. not to mention that when its peak hours, it will take you quite awhile to get to bukit bintang. one option (if you really are thinking of staying in either #2 or #3) is to take the lrt to klcc (where the twin towers are located) and walk to bukit bintang from there (its about 10-15 minutes walk), you can take taxis from klcc but they will probably try to charge you a flat MYR10 to get there when it shouldn't cost you more than MYR5 if they uses the meter (but of course not all taxi drivers are like that). i know it doesn't seem like much difference but its a hassle when tourists just pay for the asked price because then the taxi drivers believe that they can get away with it and even try to charge the locals at the same price. aida andrepkh Andrep Khan Post Count: 4 Msg: #5 113 weeks ago, October 18th 2007 | Thanks Aida | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 5 | |||||||||||||
