It's also a duty free island with some nice restaurants and bars, very chilled out and lazy days to be had here. | Agree with #3 that Penang is more city based and the Indian food is excellent. There is a nice mix of Chinese and Indian culture with old British colonial buildings, a couple of big shopping centres too.
