Hi,
I want to visit Central or South America this winter. I speak French and English fluently and some Spanish. I would like to know which countries are the safest in those regions. I am planning two or three weeks holidays and I am traveling alone. I do not mind spending a day or two at the beach but my main interest is knowing new cultures, new people and seeing interesting things. I have never been in those region before. I want to stay in relatively comfortable place.
Thanks,
Richard
Reply to this Hi Richard. I am currently in Uruguay and finding it a very interesting, safe and good value place to be. It feels a bit safer than Buenos Aires (where I started my trip). There are a few interesting towns to see here and some gorgeous thermal pools at Salto. Perhaps you could combine Uruguay with another part of Sth Am?
Best wishes, Ruth
Reply to this Hello Ruth,
Thanks for the info. I look at your blogs and found it very interesting. Nice pictures, good information. You are lucky to be able to afford one year in South America and Central America. I will be following your trip all along. It will give me a better idea on places to visit in the future.
Take care,
Richard
Reply to this Chile usually always tops the indicators of safety/stability.
Reply to this Central America would be Costa Rica, and South America Chile
