Has anyone traveled by Hot Air Balloon or been in a Hot Air Balloon Race?
I found a list of hot air balloon races and festivials. I have been to the start of the Helen to the Atlantic race. What a sight but I could not hitch a ride.

Races, no, but there's a Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM every October. There are lots of events involving the balloons and balloonists who come to participate, and prizes are given for balloons in different categories. If you're up for some really early morning action, you could also go to watch the balloon glow, just before sunrise, when they take the balloons partway into the air and turn the flames on t light them up.
