My boyfriend and I are heading out on a trip around the world ... this is a first time thing for both of us, and we're wondering if people who have already done it can give us an idea of what it cost them?
We plan to go for a year, and our itenerary looks something like this: canada to cuba, cuba to south america (venezuela, brazil, galapagos islands and argentina), south america to africa (south africa, rwanda, madagascar, kenya and egypt), africa to europe (ireland, scotland, england, france, italy, spain, sweden, austria, romania, germany, greece, turkey, czech republic, and russia), then onto asia (china, japan, nepal, maldive islands, singapore, cambodia, india and thailand), asia to australia, new zealand and neighboring islands (fiji and the cook islands!!!). we want to do it backpacker style, but are more than willing to pay out for things like a trip to the galapagos, or a safari ... etc ... but we're definitelly not wanting to stay in resorts or nice hotels... any advice on what to expect for the total cost would be awesome! Thank you!
