Adroc Adam Locklin Post Count: 2 Msg: #1 130 weeks ago, June 22nd 2007 | I am trying to figure out somewhere i have not been in the US in Oct-Nov. East coast is off limits. I would like to go to the Rockies but I am not sure what there is to do in Oct. It will be just me and my wife. I am looking for a place to relax mainly due to working the last 7 months overseas. Please email or post any ideas you may have. | Thank You [Edited: 22:16 - Adroc ] travelingbee Deb Post Count: 73 Msg: #2 129 weeks ago, June 28th 2007 | Just curious as to why the East Coast is off limits...? Naturally, the first thing that comes to mind for Oct-Nov is the foliage of New England! But since that's not an option, what exactly are you looking to do? You said mainly relax, but did you want to do some activities as well - like hiking or camping or skiing? Hiking should still be an option in at least parts of the Rockies in October, but you're going to be teetering on the edge of snow season for a lot of places, especially as you get into November. | Adroc Adam Locklin Post Count: 2 Msg: #3 129 weeks ago, June 30th 2007 | i have actually decided to wait until Dec. i am thinking somewhere in Colorado for Christmas. I want to ski and have other options also. any ideas for a winter vacation. | travelingbee Deb Post Count: 73 Msg: #4 129 weeks ago, July 2nd 2007 | Hi Adam. I would definitely recommend Colorado in December... If you want to ski, Aspen is a charming town as well as having great skiing. Winter Park is another place that doesn't get the traffic of Aspen, but has just as fabulous scenery and skiing. Otherwise, I'd say head out to Wyoming and Jackson Hole... Others may have some ideas also. | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 4 | ||||||||||||
