There are so many companies/organizations out there, how does one choose who to go with? Does anyone have any experience with volunteering in India? I went through an organisation called gapguru to do this but had to pay,however when i was there I realised you can do volnteering without having to go through one of these organisations. In Delhi they have a local monthly 'whats on' and in the back of there is a list of NGOs asking for volunteers with emails and who to contact to set something up. When I go back i will just use this approach to do something. I am sure other big cities would have something similar. You need to figure out what type of volunteer work you want to do also?? I am travelling in India from Mis sept-oct. Feel free to message me if you need more advice.
