Hi!

My fiancee and I are planning a simple wedding at the seaside.. I am currently looking for really beautiful beaches in our country..Currently, we have the Amanpulo and El nido resorts in our list but they are way too expensive for our budget.. we only have a few visitors (closest love ones, 20 atmost).. the date is still too long, on Feb 08 but we wanted to settle the place as soon as possible.. Can you give us some suggestions, we would appreciate it much..

thanks! Reply to this

Would u want to try to have ur wedding in Malaysia? You can check with several resorts here, I'm not sure about the cost but no harm to check it out. Four Seasons or Tanjung Rhu would be great choices in Langkawi island.... They did a lot of great weddings... Reply to this

Hi pink, you can try Bali beaches if you would like to... Nice beaches. Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur beach, and many more...

Thanks

Hi

Congrats on your wedding!
And having those memmorable occasion by the sea is definately a great idea. So, if you want to find a cheap wedding organize at the seaside, why don't you try Penang. Batu Ferringhi beach is my favorite. For your info Penang is located in Northern Malaysia.

hello pink11,congrats, i have been wed at beach myself,u will encounter problems like:

1.catholic priests dont wed at beaches just inside the church. so i took a la inependencia to wed us (also catholic). born again christian will do.
(i gave to priest P1,000 as voluntary fee, which is supposed to be for free...they are humble servants of God right?)

2.i am from manila..so obviously..i have to transport them all to palawan which i never did..why because for obvious reason and to think the ethics of wedding is...when you invite..you must provide the transport, accomo, food, to all of them... no way..this is also to avoid them to envy people i invited.

3. i had friends at palawan (who fortunately own a retail kodak shop)its them that i invited..they took pics of my wedding professionally like a real pro..me and my husband were soooooo happy..all angle were so beautifully and romantically taken inspite of some problems (no hairdressers /parlor,my gown has no zipper(hahha),etc)i dont care..i dont have much visitors for them to criticize my wedding...

4.though my parents, friends and relatives opposed to this wedding venue..i cannot say no...why?? they didnt share a penny and my husband wants a beach wedding!I want a beach wedding tooo...this is MY wedding and not theirs..so I must have it my way....

5.Batangas, Subic beaches are all polluted already. I dont like my expensive swimsuits ruined. Palawan(quiet and solemn ceremonies) or Boracay(for night wild parties) is best..I had mine at solemn Palawan.

it turned out that all came to be solemn,memorable,romantic..of course i have to provide transport to my visitors as my wedding venue is 2 hours away from puerto princessa city..gas of P800(back and forth) for a van to all of them (priests, visitors and fotographers and assistants)

i held my wedding at princessa holiday resort, a beautiful resort....we booked 3 days and 2 nights...the wedding venue is free..even the decorations were prepared by the owner herself...i never sweated even a drop!

i never regreted having my wedding at beach....

i hope you enjoyed your wedding as much as i did....

Aside from Palawan Island, I think Boracay is ok. But not in White Beach. Maybe Diniwid, Punta-Bunga, Puka, or Bulabog Beach which are all in Boracay Island. Reply to this

I am catholic but my wedding was held by a la independcia priest...catholic priest hold their ceremonies ONLY inside the church ..u cannot drag them to wed you at beach or garden weddings.

You have 2 choices ...christian(born again priest) wedding or la independencia wedding(my wedding) which i think is catholic too...this is father´s number....048-4348599 in palawan....but i warn you the place is solemn wedding...which we had wanted..maybe you have a different prefence like a more louder place like boracay...i dont know any priest at boracay...u may ask the resorts for priest referrals at boracay as they are more am sure experienced or had hosted a wedding event..hope i had been of help...i can give the cphone number too of the fotographers at palawan..that is if u want...

I'm sure there are plenty of great venues for beach weddings. Fos Sabah (on the island of Borneo), Malaysia, you can opt for a romantic beach wedding; either at 5 star resorts or along the beaches where mid-range priced resorts are situated. Picture perfect with beautiful 360 degrees scenery, warm climate and great hospitality will make Sabah in particular and Malaysia in general for a perfect wedding venue, apart from the overly crowded areas around the globe. I'm planning to have a beach wedding in Laiya Batangas and I'm looking for a Pastor who can officiate our wedding. Our budget is a bit tight so I'm hoping to find somebody who lives near that area so I don't have to pay a lot for transpo aand no more additional accomodation expense. Please recommend one. I would suggest you for Andaman Islands. You can't get a better place for beach weddings. it is the perfect place for beach weddings. Go for it... Reply to this

Hi Ashley,

I'm planning my wedding in palawan too but can't find any priest even christian! I already talk to a wedding planner/coordinator but they always tell me to get married in civil first before the ceremony. But we prefer not to have 2 weddings, plus you lost the moment already... I tried ringing Father - the number you gave on your post but its not available anymore.... How did you contact him? Need help please... Thank you! 😊

Cheers,

If you like a wild place, you can discover Phu Quoc in Viet Nam. There you can snorkeling to see colourful coral, or fishing cuttle at night beside discovering wonderful islands, beautiful beaches. To the North of Island, have national forest Phu Quoc, you can trekking and discover Da Ban stream & Tranh stream. Specialities you should try that’s sea urchin, herring salad with coconut.

If you have a good money to spent then Bali and Malaysia are best option. But if you don't have enough budget then I would suggest you the beaches of Goa in India. You can search on internet Goa is a first choice for all the couples who are interested in beach wedding. Reply to this

Dear Ckaren,

My wedding officiant is on my facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/bybera?fref=ts

I just hope he is still based in Palawan. When not then ask if he can recommend someone from his Church, am sure he would help. He is a parish priest at Iglesia Filipina Independiente.

Claudette is a friend/fotographer and she knows almost everybody in the island and can give you huge discounts on hotel deals for wedding. Here is her FB acct.
