We've been in several places in Eastern Europe, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Budapest. I've heard Prague is very beautiful and romantic. On other hand, I wonder if like in most east European cities, the city is only renovated in some areas and in others looks pretty "sad". If any of you have visited both, I would like to know your opinion - which one did you like the best? Where would you go again? Also I am curious if there is anything else to see near Prague or Barcelona? We'll probably go for 10 days so we most likely have time to see something close by. Thank you! deleted_32307 deleted_32307 Post Count: 50 Msg: #2 142 weeks ago, April 3rd 2007 | no doubt Barcelona!!! | Prague is definitely a beautiful city but Barcelona is WHOOOOOW!!!!!!!!! The season is perfect, as summer would be too hot. The last time I've been there it was April and the weather was lovely. Plus, most of tourist have gone by then (during the Feria it's far too crowded for me), so you can really enjoy the city. Barcelona, Barcelona, Barcelona!!!! <snip> [Edited: 09:14 - Mell ] singskiviking Jennifer A Post Count: 17 Msg: #3 142 weeks ago, April 3rd 2007 | Ok, from Barcelona you can take a ferry ride to the Balearic Islands, Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza. But from what I am reading and hearing from friends, Barcelona is the place. It is the Europe of Spain, while Madrid is the real Spain. I will be in Spain in September myself and I can't wait! | JessNaudz Jessica Naudziunas Post Count: 2 Msg: #4 140 weeks ago, April 18th 2007 | Prague is pretty much as central as you can get. forget spain, old hat, old news! eastern europe is where it is at. you can get to bulgaria in a few hours, tour the black sea, double back to the beautiful forests of romania and then top it all off in cosmopolitan Budapest. Prague is beautiful, daring, and nice to visitors. I've lived here for three months and will be leaving in 2 weeks. I am so sad to leave! | Travel around the world hunglina Post Count: 3 Msg: #5 140 weeks ago, April 19th 2007 | hey, how about Greece?
