Wow! I feel honored to be the Blogger of the Week. I want to thank Binkley for nominate me.
I finished my trip though Jordan. I couldn't finish all the blogs yet, but I will in the upcoming month. However, I didn't go alone at this trip, I did a single group tour with the Dutch (adventurous) organisation Sawadee. Their program is really a plus, because we went "off-the-beaten track", for example in Dana Biopshere Reserve, and to stay 3 days in the Wadi Rum dessert. At Dana, Wadi Rum and Petra we did some great hikes.
During my trip, I do like to hike. I agree it's a great way to discover the country/region. Of course, it's a great way to see nature and you can come at places where you can't go with a car. But it's also great to hike in a (larger) city, at a hike you get a good expression off the city and you might see things you otherwise cannot see.
During my trips, I really like to see highlights of the country/region, but I really do enjoy to go "off the beaten track". I prefer an combination between culture, nature and adventure (for example, hiking, (mountain)biking, find a way in a city with only a map).
I didn't traveled a lot, but I do hope I can see much more in the world and travel so much as I can in the future, and maybe living & working over different places at the world. Well, I just started that last option to become real, I will move in this month from the Netherlands to Germany (not a big distance, but you have to start somewhere ;-) ).
I want to say thanks again, and I really hope you like my blog of Jordan (My apologies that it's not finished yet) and my first trip to South-England.
Reply to this Congratulations, Anne, and we look forward to your remaining blogs about Jordan. You have a lifetime ahead of you to travel! You will find that TB is a real community...we've met both the Binkleys as they passed through Colorado and Jo when we were in Auckland. We will have dinner with Taracloud when we are in La Paz next month. So welcome to the family.
