Me and my friends are going to Orlando for 14 days in March and I'm curious what are some fun things to do in Orlando because we will be staying there for the first 3 days of our trip. Any suggestions ? What to do ? Thanks for the help! Reply to this

Orlando is one of the biggest travel destinations in the United States, so it has a huge range of fun things to do. The "best" fun things depends on your interests, budget, and tolerance for crowds. Read blogs from the area and see what seems interesting. Here's a few ideas to get started:

Theme parks: The heavyweight attractions of the area, escapist entertainment on a grand scale. Also crowded and incredibly expensive. To avoid the worst of the lines, invest in a through guidebook beforehand.

Water parks: Lots of fun on slides and inner tubes. Disney's waterparks are as detailed as the theme parks, but also about as crowded. Wet and Wild is a water based amusement park with the most rides.

Theme dining: Restaurants where people eat dinner while watching some kind of show. The food tends to be terrible, but the shows can be very good. Look for coupons.

Extreme attractions: Skydive in an indoor wind tunnel, ride a chair strapped to a bungee cord, and lots of other high-adrenaline thrills. The attractions vary every year, so check after arriving.

Gatorland: The last surviving attraction from the pre-Disney days, this alligator zoo features acts like gators jumping for lunch. Old-fashioned, incredibly cheesy, and fun for just those reasons. Cheap tickets too.

Golf: The area has dozens of courses. One at Disney World features Micky Mouse shaped bunkers!

Nightclubs: If going out at night is fun, these are a way to experience Orlando like a local away from the tourist hordes. The scene changes almost weekly, so research after arriving.

Shopping: Orlando has one of the largest outlet malls in the world, and many people include a visit in their vacation. To find a cheap Disney World souvenir, head to the Disney Warehouse.
