I'd like to draw attention to my favourite blogger and friend, Seamus O'Bryan. His blogs highlight his humanitarian work in Vanuatu, his sailing adventures, and his experiences after the earthquake in Haiti.

Seamus died instantly last friday when a car hit his motorcycle head on. Gone is a man who lived his life like he knew he may depart this earth early. At 32, he was an adventurer, a jokester, a teacher, a tradesman, a humanitarian, and a friend to everyone he met. His brother said it best, "Seamus didn't have a bucket list, he was his bucket list."

Fair winds Seamus O'Bryan. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many. You will be missed.

Andrea, our heart felt sympathies go out to you and his family. So tragic when a life ends. I am happy to hear his life was rich in experiences and he lived his bucket list. What wonderful words from his brother. Reply to this

Dave and Merry Jo brought Sailing to Antarctica to my attention. The cruise was in a 30' sail boat...not a cruise ship! They did meet a cruise ship where the captain invited the two sailors on board for a hot shower and meal...what a contrast to the snobby cruisers. They also enjoyed plenty of home made vodka at a Ukrainian base. What a story! Reply to this
