Advice for trekking in this period: Inca Trail Cordillera Blanca (in January)
10 years ago, December 3rd 2013 No: 1 Msg: #177584
Hi,

I was planning to arrive in Cuzco 21th of December and take classic Inca trail.
I know that this may not be the best period for trekking so I was wondering if there is anybody that is planning to trek during this to rainy period 😊

Any advice for trekking in this period?

Hi admira, January in the cordillera is very cold hi up. I think the cordillera negra is very possible for treks and horseback riding etc.
I'm not sure if it's January or feb, but the inca trail is closed one month a year. you need to check it out.
Enjoy the adventure!
