Thank you for selecting one of my photos.
In the late afternoon we were on Svinafellsjokull, an outlet glacier of Vatnajokull. Usually I like to shoot landscape photos with nobody in the shot. This afternoon I was lagging behind my companions and they gave perspective to the size and depth of the galcier. I wasn't thinking of composing a photo, just wanted to preserve the view.

What I love about the photo is the way the person at the back catches your eye, and the remainder of the group draw you further into the picture.
The mountain at the back is not only where your eye ends up, but obviously where the hikers are going to - which helps make the viewer feel a part of the picture - congratulations on a great shot, intended or otherwise! Reply to this

Isn't it funny that many of us go to great lengths to make certain that people are not in our photos and so often the people are what make the photo so wonderful and put things in perspective.
Congratulations on photo of the week.
