depend for how long. Do you mean how much a day.

It depends what you want to see and where you go.

I consider Italy as the most expensive euro zone country. I would say you can do it under 75$ a day if you are careful.

Germany is on the other hand one if not the cheapest western europe country. You have plenty of cheap option. I did it on 40 a day often.

For Egypt I can't help you I was there way to long ago and did not see much.

Never been to Japan but hear plenty of time it was very expensive.

Never been in S Korea Reply to this

How long are you planning to stay in each place? What kind of trip are you planning? Budget, luxury or something in between?

Does this figure include flights?

The short answer to "how much money to bring?" is always: As much as you can. There is always something you can spend money on.
The long answer is a bit more complicated. All the places you list are first world (expensive) places, except for Egypt. You can live and travel in a first world city for about $50 a day. That is $20 for a hostel for the night, $10 for food, and $20 for local transportation and entry to sights. This is as cheap as it gets unless you can stay with friends, couchsurf, or earn money somehow along the way.
Notice there is no budget for souvenirs and if you want to eat for $10 a day you won't be going to any restaurants. In fact, you might want to grab an extra roll from the free hostel breakfast and save it for lunch.
On the plus side, there are always great free things to see and do in a city. Parks, markets, and most religious sights are all free.
Egypt is cheaper than the rest of your choices, but it is difficult to navigate the baksheesh system unless you have a guide to help you. So I would budget the same amount for Egypt and if you spend less then use it for something else.
So if you are going to be gone from Jan to June thats 182 days at $50 a day you will need $9,100 plus I would estimate $3,000 to fly between all of these places. You will need $12,100 minimum.
More would be better. Reply to this
