Nominate bloggers with 4 or less 'followers' for our Blogger Of The Week award! Nominations are welcome from all, whether you a new Travelblog member or a blogging veteran.
I would like to add
Travelling Canucks to the list of nominations for blogger of the week. Seasoned travelers from Canada publishing some nice blogs and photos.
Reply to this Here's one that different:
hmtm. Not many photos but 104 blogs since Jan 2009. Not sure if he qualifies for blogger of the week but worth a read just for the style.
John
Reply to this John, as long as they are currently blogging and have four or less recommends, then they qualify for blogger of the week. Thanks for the making a recommendation!
I moved your post from the Blog Treasure Hunt (which is about excellence in a particular blog) to this one regarding Blogger of the Week.
Reply to this I'm excited to be the first to nominate
Mert. This blogger combines elegant writing and beautiful photography for an enjoyable read.

Reply to this I first ran across
Mewwitt when she took her vacation in Thailand (I look for blogs about Thailand everyday as this is usually a city travelers go through on their RTW or Asia trips). I enjoyed Merritt's writing so went back through her previous blogs about her life in China, first as a year abroad college student, and then returning for graduate school to master the Chinese language. She then began a career there in the corporate world. I forgot to subscribe or Recommend her, so all contact was lost until I just happened to run across her latest blogs. Her blogs about her life in China are touching from the relationships she developed and then the difficult decison to return "home." Last Christmas she moved back to the States, and is experiencing reversed culture shock. She promises to blog more. So I am nominating her for Blogger of the Week.
Reply to this Bob, this is great you were able to "find" her again - I will second your nomination for
Mewwitt, as she has a lovely and engaging writing style.
Reply to this Hello all,
I would like to nominate
Casey Lary for blogger of the week. Read about her upcoming two week spring trip. Sounds crazy. She written 60 + blogs, 2300+ photos and many adventures around the world. She belongs on the front page. Take a look and make your own decision.

Reply to this I would like to nominate
Synnott for blogger of the week. A seasoned blogger with 100+ blogs. He has traveled to all 7 continents, visited 89 countries, and has shared his impressions along the way. Take a look.
Reply to this I have to nominate
sarahwalker now as she has received 4 Recommends within the last week or so (by such notables as Ali and Jo Trouble), and will soon be ineligible for this award (I know I am too goal oriented and think getting awards are a neat deal) as she will graduate to the front page, which she deserves right now with one more click on the Recommend button.
Anyway, Sarah's first blogs were about her trip to Antarctica...who starts with that! Now she is traveling overland from Spain to Turkey via all of Africa. Her journey has just started and she in in Morrocco, much beloved by D & MJ, who after reading her blogs will likely click that button after giving due consideration on the merits of the Blogger of the Week award.
She gives a lot of detail that will be very helpful to those who want to know about overlanding. She told me that she is considering overlanding the Silk Road too, so many great blogs lie ahead.
Reply to this I reckon that this week's recipient for the Blogger of the Week award is going to face some tough competition!
Having said that, I'm going to second
sarahwalker and thus make this task even tougher.
Reply to this Thanks. It means a lot. There is so many great blog here.
