Okay, so my best friend's family are going to Seoul, Korea for a month and I'm going as well. I have to buy my own food, pay for trips to theme parks and tourists attractions etc, and I pay for my own shopping. I am staying at her family's old house, though, so I won't need a hotel or anything. I am only 14, so I won't be buying alcohol or anything xD Reply to this

Hello and welcome to Travelblog!
You are lucky to be going to Seoul, it is one of the world's great cities. I was there in November and found that apart from accommodation, prices in Seoul are very good. Some tourist attractions (such as the National Museum) are free, and others that you need to pay are only a two or three dollars each - they are excellent value for money.
Eating out is not the cheapest in Seoul when compared to the rest of the country, so if you can find a way to a supermarket and cater for yourself, that would save a lot of money. The public transport system is very good and I'd recommend you buy a travel card as the fares are cheaper. Overall, the cost of public transport is reasonable.
When I was in Seoul, I was living off approximately $25 per day (excluding shopping and accommodation) but including transport, sightseeing and food - and food is overwhelmingly the biggest expense in this list. However, note that Lotte World is more than $20 for the admission, so if you want to visit there, it might push your costs up a bit. Reply to this
