At the end of a couple of tours, don't fly out of Paris til 31st Jan, and finding it hard to find a reasonably priced destination? Any suggestions/
Who knew it would be so expensive? Maybe I didn't research enough, or was given incorrect info....
Have a couple of weeks spare........feeling a tad solo after volunteering in Cambodia for 3 months, and travelling with tour groups for nearly a month.........and feeling lost...
Anyone got any suggestions ?? I'm normally great at travelling solo, but for some reason Paris has me feeling like a first-time traveller......
Reply to this Hello Robyn, do you wish to stay in Paris or head to somewhere nearby?
If you are within Paris and enjoy art, then there are plenty of galleries to keep a solo traveller occupied for days. I found this an inexpensive way of enjoying the city (getting a Paris Museum Pass cuts down on costs). Versailles is also worthy of a visit and that will take a day (also can use the Museum Pass for that too).
As for nearby, and given the time of year, I wouldn't be heading north as much, possibly you could head into adjoining Spain for a week or so, or may head towards the southern part of France (but not the coast) if you want to cut costs - Paris isn't that cheap a place to linger.
Reply to this Thanks for the reply Shane........in the end, I've decided to head home 2 weeks early...basically I'm tired of suitcases, hotels, churches....I need to just chill out for a few weeks before I head back to work. Spain can be next trip......because there's always a "next trip".
Reply to this Thanks for letting us know of your decision - and as you said, there is always a next trip. Enjoy your chill out time!
