QUESTION ABOUT VISITING THE VATICAN ON A SUNDAY.

hi.
looking for info about attending the papal mass at the vatican, i am going to italy at the end of february and would like to see the mass. the questions are:
how early do you have to get there? and is it easy to get to in the first place.

the pope comes out on wednesday. there are like 10000 chairs out front to see him in the window, it also depends if he is even in town that week. Reply to this

It depends on what do you mean for vatican if you want to visit it on Sundays, because the sistine chapel is closed on sundays but saint Peter's is open from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. if you are interested, you can attend the pope blessing on sunday at noon, so you can see him for 15 minutes from the window of his apartment. In any case sunday is a relaxing day to join tours of rome and especially the vatican.
