How bad is rainy season
17 years ago, December 14th 2006 No: 1 Msg: #9198
Hello, I'd love some advice for anyone "in the know" out there!

A friend and I are debating between travelling to Machu Picchu or Costa Rica right after the new year. Both of us agree that MP would be the preferred destination, but I read that it's a bad time to go during rainy season. If we're going the first week of Jan, are we really going to miss out on the MP experience? We're both outdoorsment, and a little bit of rain (or even a torrent for just a short time) won't really bother us, but missing out on the great views would bother us, should that be the case. We're planning on taking the trails if we go. What advice would you offer? Thanks! Reply to this
