Ok-- I'm a Frank Zappa fan so I would name the boy Zappa.

I just remembered we have a friend who has a husky named Juneau.

How about Zappa and Juneau. Reply to this

It's not clear from the blog whether this contest was supposed to be a public one but, putting that to one side, there are some rules:

1 The black puppy is male and the white is female
2 The names need to start with the letter F
3 The names should have 1 or 2 syllables (easy and quick to say)
4 No religious, political or human names
5 The names should be easy to pronounce Reply to this

And the closing date for suggestions is Monday. No idea if the blogger actually knows of the existence of this thread, so you might need to send any suggestions directly to them via a comment or PM. Reply to this

I'd name the smarter of the two FREUD, and the other one FARGO, just because I like the movie. Reply to this

FIX and FOXI, which are the names of two German comic characters, a pair of fox twins.

FRESCO, Spanish for 'fresh' and FLECK, German for 'spot'.

FAUST, if you like Goethe, and FIGARO, if you're into opera. Reply to this

What about Idita and Rod after the Canadian sled dog race? Don't know if I've spelt it correctly but I think it sounds the same. Reply to this

19....youza...that seems like an usually high number. Do you suppose that breaks some world record? How many boys? girls? You should post a photo.

Yes 19 - Ruby the fire survivor had 12, sadly only three survived as she did not get her milk which the vet put down to the stress of the fires and the sheer size of the litter. My girl Thai had 7...very much puppy central around here at the moment. Thais babies opened their eyes today - they are 10 days old and doing fantastically - not the best of photos but here are a couple of the kids at 5 hours old :-)

Floyd

Pink

Foo

They are pretty much still attached to mum 24/7 growing huge amounts daily - we ended up with 4 girls and 3 boys this time, thankfully all ordered before they were born. NO MORE PUPPIES!

On the upside my leg is going pretty well, my physio is mainly swimming so I think I can convince doc to let me dive in a few months (when these puppies are off my hands!) so all i need to find is a flat place with great diving...cook islands or somewhere in the south pacific looking like likely suspects. I have had my bitch sterilised so there will be NO more puppies...but omg they are getting so cute now their eyes are open..in a couple of weeks they will be absolute terrorists like the last litter but such a great way to waste time staring at them and playing with them. How adorable, keep posting photos as they grown. It is amazing how fast it happens.
Glad your therapy is going well and I know you will be diving soon. Reply to this

I think animals have their own personalities (our hamsters definately did) so the names for these lovely puppies will come naturally I should think. The children named one of their hamsters Indiana (after Indiana Jones) and he was always escaping and lived under the floorboards for quite some time. Reply to this

I had a friend who named his cats Teaser and Firecat. Firecat jumped on a touch top stove and turned it on. A rag caught on fire and nearly burned the house down. Be careful what you name them. Reply to this
