We are coming to Ireland on Sunday, June 19th from Chicago. Our first night is at the Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt Hotel. What is the easiest way to get there from Dublin Airport? I was told to take the bus to Enniskerry. Reply to this

Hello Julee

You would firstly need to take a bus or taxi to the bus station, in the centre of Dublin. The bus station is called Busaras. There are 2 train stations, in the city centre, so be sure to go to the right one if you travel by train. I recommend bus, unless you know for sure that trains go to where you are going. Bus routes tend to be more extensive.

Both taxis and busses are easy to get at the airport. The airport link bus goes regularly from just outside the airport door. Taxis will also be available there.

If your are feeling adventurous you can walk around 200 metres, and take the local city busses, to the centre, and then it will be a walk of 1KM maximum to the bus station, when you get to O'Connell Street(that's where to get out). This bus is the least expensive way to get to the centre. Taxi is the most expensive, but most convenient.

You can also hire a car at the airport to get to Powerscourt. This is very expensive though.

There is a tourist information service just inside the airport exit door. Be sure to look out for that, if you are confused about anything, or need more information.
