Im leaving cuzco in july and i want to make my way to Santiago but plane travel is just way to expensive, any suggestions on a good bus route? any ideas would be great! thanks!!
Reply to this Cusco - Arequipa - Tacna - Arica. That gets you across the border into Chile. The bus ride to Santiago from there is very long, so break it into segments. One suggestion: by the time you pay for all the buses, food and overnight stops, you could probably pay for a plane ticket. SKY does a reasonable priced flight from Arequipa to Santiago.
