Resolutions? I have loads not to mention that I always said to myself that I will not travel again if I wont have my much bigger budget and credit card limits. But I can't help it! I wanted to travel, ski and do other things. Especially now that its winter and holiday season. Reply to this

Actually im glad this post popped back up...none of my planned trips for 2012 came off, i did do a few, just to places other than I thought with people other than I thought..which is a good thing 😊 I loved my time alone in Bangka and I loved my time with my mother in Sumatra but....

I am now single..finito..kaput..its all over now baby blue...

So my travel resolution is this......

IF you find something on a beach in a foreign country...leave it there.

(I met giant on a beach in thailand).

Our resolutions for travel/holidays: Normally towards the end of each year we sit with a calendar and look at how we can divide our holidays and travels for the next year to suit us. This keeps our sanity at bay, while slogging away at work. We have done this now for the last 6 to 8 years with the exception of the odd year that we haven't managed to plan ahead. Well..., the years that we couldn't plan properly seemed to be the worst because we had nothing concrete to look forward to.... but then we try to remedy that, even with a short trip!

Resolutions or not...there is always a way to please that travel bug! Reply to this

I would either love to make it to the world cup in Brazil or I would love to go on Safari in South Africa. Reply to this

Hello Community,

We know there will be some changes in store for the travel industry and travelers around the world, but we think one thing that won't change is travel's ability to transform us and to make the world a smaller place as we learn more about people and cultures different from our own. You can actually add to your vacation time. Instead of waiting until you've saved up enough money for a plane ticket somewhere far, you can enjoy a budget-friendly trip for the weekend. Not only that, but it can help you experience your own city and nearby towns, places that often have a lot to offer, but many people take for granted.

Best Regards,
Montana Marla

It's true...many of us are pretty lousy at keeping up our New Year's resolutions. But this year, vow to stick to it and master something anything on your list. Reply to this

We always have a short list of the next 5 or 6 countries we want to go next and those are chosen from a list of about 25 countries that are on the top of the world list. Both of these lists change more often than imaginable depending on the last article we've read, picture we seen, blog we've read or friend we've talked with.

This year work will be the priority and travel will be slid in where it can.

We are hoping to have a springtime trip and a trip in the fall this year if possible.

Spring-- maybe Ireland
Fall -- maybe a Caribbean dive trip

Keep your fingers crossed for us.

my current resolution is to visit as many places in the current city i reside in, to show even the locals that there are places aside from the famous ones to visit and experience. Thus far i made a list of 23 places and only visited 3 of those, the remainder have to wait until spring time to see. Reply to this

In response to: Msg #126718 Given my finances the only trip I've planned for this year is a one week trip to Croatia (currently living in Austria), either by car or bus. I plan on doing a 3 week trip to South East Asia next spring, can't wait! 😊 Reply to this

We've just sold our house and got rid of all of our 'stuff' and are planning the rest of our lives. Would love to take a few years travelling all over the world, just need to sort finances and plans and then see where we are. We just think that there is more to life ........................
