plannin a ground-trip (not driving-trip) from east to west in usa, last stop would be LA. probably, i'd fly to arkansa first and start the trip there, louisianna, pittsburg, seattle, LA, and toronto if possible....

recently, i'm kindda missing of my high schl frens, so i'm plannin to visit them city by city, state by state. but by the reason, they all live in different states, that's a big prob, so i must plan first with carefully on $ budget and everything needed for trip. those cities are arkansa, louisiana, pittsburg, seatlle, LA and if $ allowed, probably toronto..

i need some great opinions from you guys, great travel experts, what can i actually do on plannin my trip, so i can go visit all these cities "with lowest expense"? i think maybe rail is a good idea to try huh? (such as AMTRAK)

after planned, then i would srceam, "america, i'm comin baby".. haha

i appreaciate whoever reads this stupid entry.

thats tough since all these places are scattered. I would scout out the bigger US airlines (Delta, Northwest, etc) and see if they offer travel passes which allow you to fly to a number of places within a certain time.
I'm not sure about Amtrak (I live in Canada) though if you are trying to do it with the lowest expense... greyhound might be the cheapest way to go but be prepared for some dodgy bus stations along the way and many nights spent aboard a bus.
You might want to consider picking up Lonely Planet USA & Canada on a Shoestring. That might give you some guidance as well. Reply to this

I would suggest to get a trip planner software, such as Microsoft Streets and Trips to plan your trip. We did that for our last summer trip. It helped immensely on how much time we need. For my blog, see Our summer vacation Reply to this

I have created a site just for that. YOu should not focus only on LA but check also other beautiful cities in California like Encinitas, San Diego, San Francisco
I know I will go surfing this week in Encinitas this week. Here is my site http://www.bestofcalifornia.info Reply to this
