I'm traveling from Berlin to Paris on Dec 29th and I'm running up against high ticket prices...
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a company to get cheap flights or another form of cheap transport? Also being slightly last minute for that time of year I was trying to figure out accomodation that would be safe and cheap for a female traveling alone. Thanks for any suggestions!!

It really depends on where you fly out. Also, I found that the best discounts for last minute flights are in the language of the country you're trying to fly out from. So I hope you know German, or get somebody to help translate for you so that you get the best deals. If you look at the sites in English, the last minute deals are all flying out of London.

I find a good site for backpackers with youth hostels and budget hotels in Europe and worldwide:
Flashbooking, I went in Berlin last month and I find a youth hostel for 9 Euro
Hotel Berlin and I shared a private room in Paris with a friend for 20 euro
Hotel Paris!
