Weekend trip to Venice from Rome

Hi,

I'll be in Rome for 7 days. I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to visit Venice during a weekend while I'm there....
Also, whts the best way to get to Venice from Rome?

Hi Jutika,

That sounds like a good plan. Venice is an amazing city and well worth a visit. Good, cheap trains go from Rome to Venice - take a look at Tren Italia's website.

Yes, they ve got a train called "eurostar" but not the same as the UK FRANCE one, very good service and you are in venice in no time Reply to this

You could definitely do Venice in a weekend though I think its a long trainride from Rome. Rome to Florence itself is about 2 1/2-3 hours. Florence to Venice maybe another 3 hours. Reply to this
