I've chose some countries that I'll visit such :

Norway - Sweden - Finland - Estonia - Latvia - Lithuania - Poland - Czech Rep. - Sovak - Hungary - Ukraine - Romani - Bulgaria (maybe) - Greece - Italy - Malta - Austria (maybe) - Germany - Denmark - Netherland - Belgium - France - Spain - Portugal

it means that I'll be travelling almost in every countries in Europe which on Schengen visa (mostly)..

Until this moment, I've marked some spots on each countries to be visited but still I'll need all your suggesions what to visit, what to see, and what to do 😊

for information, I prefer some nature and old heritage place which I could share moment with local people than just hang my time in big cities with huge and high buildings :P

thank u so much!!
waiting to hear from you 😊

happy travelling!

Hello Martha,
If you are going to Stockholm in Sweden (in Spring or Summer I hope) you should do a boat trip either to the archipelago or to Drottningholm. Drottningholm is the Royal Castle on an island in the lake Malaren, much worth seeing as it both has an impressive park and you can visit some of the buildings from the 17th and 18th century. Maybe also the theater (the oldest existing theater in Europe), though I am not sure how easy that is because visitors are restricted. You do this as a day trip. It is beautiful to see the city from the water. Best way to go to Finland is by boat, which also takes you through the archipelago. There are also boat trips to Gripsholms castle (in the lake) which also should be nice, I have only done it by road. The castle is very interesting and there is a small picturesque town called Mariefred which makes for a nice stroll. The Djurgarden park area is great for walking and has many museums, of which the most interesting are the Wasa ship (from the 17th century - amazing) and the Skansen heritage open air museum. You can take the little ferry from Gamla Stan (Old City) to Djurgarden but there are also buses.

In Greece there are so many things to see, if you can, avoid coming in August which is the European holiday month and everything is crowded and expensive. From your schedule it seems like you will be coming over land and enter Northern Greece. Thessaloniki is a big city but it has a great vibe (for dinner go to the "Laladika" by the harbour or "Bit pazar"or Ano Poli beneath the walls - pretty lanes to get lost in) with a very worthwhile archeological museum, byzantine city walls, byzantine churches and Roman archeological areas.

Don't miss the Alps, the mountains are so beautiful and it will be on your way between Italy and Germany.

Seems like a great trip.

hi Inga 😊

thank you so much for your suggestions! I think the archipalgo trip through water and boat is interesting cause it seems that Stockholm isn't too different with other big city in Europe (correct me if I'm wrong please :P).. and those castles areas would make such great impressive for me!..

and yes, I'll enter Greece from the northern part.. hm, you're right, I think I definetely have to avoid holiday time otherwise I'll see only people around me :P can I hike the Alps? Or is it only able to be watched? well, maybe we could meet when I'm in Greece 😊

if you feel interest to join my trip, just tell me then.. sometimes too much going good places with no friends could be pretty bored..there'll be nobody I could share ideas what to visit next and next :P

anytime you're going to Indonesia, I'll be happy to welcome you here 😊 Reply to this

In Czech Republic you must visit Český Krumlov. It's a small city in the south (a short hop from the Austrian border) and is one of the biggest heritage sites in the country - the centre is virtually untouched and still full of history from Bohemia/Roman Empire times. And as such it has a pretty thriving backpacker scene 😊 You should go to Prague too, at least for one or two nights.. its small enough for it not to be too heavy.

For natural beauty visit the high tatras in Slovakia, the Pyrenées in France and the Alps, obviously.. and I reccommend Stockholm as well. The city itself doesn't take very long to see compared to other European capitals, so go explore the natural surroundings too if you have time.

You'll be a bit stuck in Belgium and the Netherlands to get away from urban landscape.. Reply to this

Cesky Krumlov is on my city list 😉 it seems to have lot ancient buildings there 😊

I've googled and browsed some information about Netherland, Belgium, and Germany.. but I found too much buildings and urban living on those countries..hmm, maybe I'll visit only few days in Netherland & Belgium cities, but should I pass Germany as well heading straight to Denmark? Cause I only marked 3 cities in Germany (since it's a pretty big country to spent only in few places)

thanks! 😊 Reply to this
