So, what are your plans for the decade, Aaron?

I am still thinking about mine.

I suppose my boyfriend will find another job. He was made redundant in December.

I will do more travels. But, I havent yet figured out where exactly those travels will be to, beyond this year.

And, I will try not to be too disturbed by how old I will be at the end of this decade.

Umm! I will add to this list, because I am sure there must be more I want to do in the next 10 years. My daughter is going to become way more independent this decade, so I will have lots more freedom. I just have to get used to having freedom, so I can start thinking about what to do with it. I have got out of the habit of thinking about what I want to do, without including a little kid in the process. 😊

My plans for the decade i haven't really thought about but i guess here are my main ones

-Live and work overseas (Most likely Canada)
-Learn a second language
-To be at my physical best at most times
-To learn to ice skate properly so i can at least attempt one game of ice hockey

I too will add to my list at a later date. I have sleep to catch up on.

Yes, add that one at my list too. I have been doing that for the last few years. No reason why it wont continue for the next 10 years. 😊 Reply to this

well, traveling will surely be not in my plan for this year but for the next 9 years, will definitely want to visit all the places that I want to, or at least Japan...that will really make me happy...

after 10 years I'd probably be more than 30 and by that time, I hope that I'll have my own house and car and of course a partner to share the blessings of life with. for the next 10 years I hope that my family can have better health and that I will be able to treat them a tour around the world on a cruise... My plans for the decade are:

-Finish the University degree I started in October 09.
-Travel with our van for a few months when I'm finished at Uni.
-Do a Masters.
-Move back to Spain and build a house.
-Travel as much as I can.
-Learn to play piano.
-Write a book.

and I wouldn't mind having a child or 2... I'm getting old ;o) Reply to this

I hope to get married some time during this decade. One day, we will manage to gather all the paperwork we need, to score an international marriage certificate in at least one European Union country. Getting one in the Netherland is starting to look possible. There is news that they may soon lighten up their getting married rules. 😊 Reply to this

Are they making it difficult for you?... I'm Spanish, my husband, Dax, is German and we got married in the Cook Islands and the only paperwork we need for the embassies (we have to register the marriage in both embassies because we live in England) are the birth certificates and the marriage certificate with the apostille... I would have thought in Europe is much easier... good luck!!! Reply to this

We cant seem to get all the papers we need for any country. The main problem at the moment is with Germany. We dont just have to get married, we have to do it in a way that we have the right papers to get married persons income tax breaks. If we get married in another country and just registered with our consulates, it would not be enough. But, my boyfriend was made redundant from his job in December, so it will be even more difficult to get the papers we need, until he gets another job.

But, I think such complicated nonsense cant last forever. Maybe the laws will change, because we surely arent the only ones in this situation.

We could get married in a church in England, and then the church would sort out the marriage certificate for us without too much trouble. But my boyfriend refuses to get married in a church. I tend to agree with him on that. It would make things easier, but neither of us approve of organised religions, especially since they are so manipulative in situations like this. It shouldnt be easier to get married in a church, in our opinion. 😊
