Reply to this My last day at work is tomorrow, and we fly next Friday. Very excited and nervous at the same time. I can't believe it's nearly here. Over a year of dreaming and planning and nearly time to actually go. I still can't get my head around the fact we'll be away for a year. It just doesn't compute, hehe.

Reply to this we're in Thailand, just past our one month anniversary for leaving home, loving it but we did have a bought of bronchitis which landed us in the hospital on Samui for a few days, on the recover now in haat yao on ko phangan. loving every minute of it. Chris and Lou, London?? I thought you were starting in China?

Reply to this I just came across this entry and seems like such a great Idea to share the news of handing out the notice ;-) Big step and must be really amazing feeling ;-) We still have to wait almost 4 months before we do that but time flies ;-)
Reply to this Strange but cool to be reminded of this post and my excitement at that time. A year later, after an amazing trip, I'm back in the UK and job hunting. Sigh. Back to the grind, but it was so worth it!

No they didn't take me back. The recession hit them hard - there's just not a job for me there. So now job hunting. Well worth it though.
