Where is the best place to complete the course in Jan 2010, i will also be travelling alone so looking for a lively town with hostels. Any help would be appreciated as i have never been to Oz or dived. | BARTRON Bartron Post Count: 7 Msg: #2 12 days ago, November 19th 2009 | Cairns is your best bet. Lots of hostels and nightlife etc, and a mutitude of diving. No better place to learn to dive than the Barrier Reef - warm water, amazing dive sites. Try 'prodive' or 'Mike BAll'. I used them and they were both excellent. Make sure you visit the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Cairns is pretty hot and humid in January, and can be stormy, but diving the Reef is truly fantastic. | kara hoho kara Post Count: 2 Msg: #3 6 days ago, November 24th 2009 | I was also considering to get a OW with Prodive, but heard that the reef in there is not as colorful. any opinion on that? what do you guys think of getting one in town 1770 ( ie southern GBF)? would that be any better? | Number of Users: 3 | Number of Posts: 3 | |||||||||||
