PADI Diving in Thailand
Should I pre-book?

Hey Lee,
I've been back in the UK for a few weeks now (need to get round to updating my blog)
From what I've heard it's all relatively calm though now that the Thai PM is in London and is trying to get his supporters together things could change, I guess it depends on who is going to be the new PM in a couple of weeks.
The best place to check is the FCO website from time to time as they're the ones who have the job of getting people out of countries when it all goes Pete Tong. People are still flying to Thailand though some flight operators have stopped flying out of Bangkok.
I would say that if you're really keen to get away to Thailand then carry on with your plans (make sure you get a decent travel insurance) if there is any trouble then it will tend to be centered around bangkok. Worst case if things get really bad then you could always look at doing your diving in the perhentians in Malaysia, lovely country, great food, really nice diving and really welcoming people :D (my parents are from Malaysia, so I'm a bit bias ;) ) Reply to this

cheers legs i think we are gunna go the FCO have said that other areas of thailand havn't been effected so , if worst comes to the worst i'l just fly straight into Bangkok and then straight down to phuket and take it from there my digs in Bangkok only cost me £ 11 for the three nights so i won't be loosing a great deal .
Back to reality for you then , being back home and all that !
nevermind im sure you are planning your trip back already .
take it easy
