Hi, hopefully someone may be able to shed some lght on this as the Airline and booking agent are hopeless.

On the 28th of Nov my wife and a friend are supposed to travel to the US with our 17 month old twins.
The friend is to return to the UK on the 5th Dec alone.
I (husband) will travel to the US on the 22nd December.
On he 5th of January Myself, my wife and the twins will return to the UK
Now I thought this would be simple and the tickets were purchased and paid for, then the booking agent calls me to tell me that the airline refused to issue the ticket for the twin travelling with our friend.
They say that the infant cannot go out with one adult and return with another.

I have been told by the agent to purchase a one way ticket on the 28th of Nov for the twin and do the same for the return journey. The twins are to be on our laps so available seats would not be an issue.
What nobody can give to make me feel confident is if the airline are going to be happy to do this, if we need ESTA for the infants as I thought this was only for return tickets and if we are going have problems with immigration in the US.

We are extremely stressed over all this, especially my wife who needs to be in the US for her sick father.

Kind Regards

Paul,

The only true way to find is to call the airline directly. They will give you their guidelines. Hope this help. Reply to this
