I am concerned about flooding, landslides etc following the wet season and ongoing rain. I am confused by reports and am very unsure about travel. I would lke to travel from Manila to North Luzon, boracay etc . Is the weather and country safe now or should i wait until February?! Help - confused!! We also went to Bohol and Manila. Although I know there have experienced some real problems with terrible weather lately, we didn't see any of it. I think North Luzon was really battered by hurricanes, so that might not be such a good place to visit, but someone who is more familar with that area can probably give you more info on that. |  liliram liliram Post Count: 386 Msg: #3 13 days ago, November 9th 2009 | Hi Sarah. Yes, we had those devastating typhoons but I'm hoping that's all over now. Around this time till early next year is supposed to be the best time to visit the Philippines. It is cooler , as opposed to the hot months of late March through June. | Kris and Kate enjoyed Boracay (love their blog!) and I strongly suggest you visit the place. Bohol too, which Kris and Kate visited too. If you have the luxury of time, the Northern Luzon area (Vigan, Paoay, Laoag) is another place to visit and should give you "another side of the Philippines other than sand and sun". You can check out my blog on Northern Philippines and see if you like the sites. And yes, it is safe here. Just skip the southernmost part (Sulu, Tawi-Tawi) . PM me if you have any questions.
