And surely no-one has recommended more bloggers than Ali's 174?

Does he not even recommend his wife's blog? That is stingy! But maybe they're a competitive couple - the one who gets the most hits per week gets to use the bathroom first :-)

Not so competitive. She recommended him. :)
Maybe the deal is that she always gets to use the bathroom first, in return for her recommend here on TravelBlog.

I will send him a Private Message, to ask him to come and explain, because he should surely be present at his own trial. :D Reply to this

Update:

Ali has 90 and Cumberland Sausage has 59; I just went on a mad one and recommended about 70 blogs, but I've some way to go to recommend 175 which is my new life mission as I sit here procrastinating with 6 anthropology articles on Indigenous Andean social movements to read and synthesize by the end of today.

It might turn out to be theoretically very interesting.

I truly envy you guys the time to be able to hang out and gossip about other bloggers domestic bathroom arrangements. Perhaps you could help me find another 100 or so worthy bloggers to recommend?

Jason.

P.S. I've already recommended 'jennijen' who is without question the best blogger ever to grace this website ...now THAT is how to get bathroom priorities

Thanks for your recommend Jason. :)

I would be very appreciative, if you would add your vote to any of the ones on the following list, even though I already appreciate that you have already added your recommend to some of them already. In the interest of fairness, the more members who help choose the Unknown Blogger of the Week the better. :)

Ah yes, the joys of parenting. I have plenty of time, because I am at home babysitting this Saturday night, instead of out enjoying the nightlife of Munich. But, she is sleeping and I am getting some peace and quiet, so I am at least grateful for that small luxury. And this time next week, I will be on a plane to Brazil. Woohoo! Reply to this

Yes, Jen is indeed an excellent blogger. Pass my well wishings on to her, and my thanks to both of you for all the great blogs you have provided for our entertainment. :) Reply to this

Brazil!
Now I truly am envious.
But who will hold the fort when you're gone?

Jason.

P.S. If you don't write us at least one 'live' blog from Brazil I will be forced to UNreccomend you!

At home, my boyfriend will. If you mean at TravelBlog, we have a fine selection of moderators who will hold the fort. :)

A live blog from Brazil is unlikley, because I want to soak up the Brazilian atmosphere, rather than sit in the internet cafes, but dont be too hasty with unrecommending me, because I will be sure to at least make several forum posts to folk asking for information about Brazil. A blog is possible some time after my return, if I have something to write. I am not quite as talented with finding an angle as Jon is, so only blog when I get inspired.

Yeah, I thought about getting a notebook, but decided not to.

I dont like the burden of having stuff with me that I have to look after, unless I absolutely need it. It makes travelling so much simpler, if I can just leave my stuff unattended under a cafe table, on a seat in the bus station... while I wander off to the bathroom, to buy a coffee... Nobody has ever bother to steal my stuff, and I have left it on street corners, under cafe tables while I wandered off for a half hour of shopping, in dorm rooms... Reply to this

Moderator comment: I snipped a couple of comments, to keep the discussion impersonal. Hopefully, this will get us back on a more positive track. :) If anyone feels it is necessary to remove more posts, in order to keep the thread peaceful, please send me a private message and I will remove those posts. Otherwise, I presume all other comments will be taken in good humour and we can continue with the discussion in a more positive way. :)

What do you think of bloggers who recommend others...than finding few days/weeks later that bloggers they recommended did not reciprocate....get erased of their recommandations. Sometime it can look like a funny kindergarden reaction! Reply to this

I think it's a bit childish, but I also think we have too many recommended bloggers, so maybe if some people decise to 'prune' their recommended bloggers lists it will have a positive effect on the front page.

It happened to me once: I was recommended, didn't reciprocate, then realised soon after that they had undone my recommendation. I just thought it was funny.
