 Asia » Vietnam
Is it a good time to hit the beaches in the North Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba for relaxing and swimming? Also is it possible to hit it on the Central and South?

I'm Tham, from Vietnam.
North Vietnam on Nov the weather is cold, began to rain so hard to go swimming in Halong, but you can visit Halong sea, sightseeing, boat.
Midle and South Vietnam weather is quite nice, good sunny, can go swimming at beaches: Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Mui Ne - Phan Thiet. I am happy to help you. Contact to me if you like. Have a nice trip!

You can visit Halong, it is very nice. you book a ticket to Hanoi and buy bus tickets to Ha Long visit. Now Many travel companies open tour in HN, moderate price. If you like i will send for you. I also like swimming like you. Wish you happiness, joy!

Hey, Ray.
December is great time to travel. The weather in the north more temperate than the south's. In my opinion, it's suitable for foreigner, it's not too cold compare to other European country . As you know, the temperature's always approximate 17-22 degree. I live in Hanoi now, love winter. You can begin you trip form Hanoi, enjoy old quarter by cycle. Watching water puppet that is one of the most folk art of Vietnamese, many many tourist enjoy its. Food is one of the most attractive in Hanoi, try to eat "Pho" maybe you can discovery your clever by do exercise using chopstick. My friends did it really well.
Love to see you in Hanoi. Tell me if need any suggests.

Hi Ray, I thought you were coming Vietnam on OCT:)...NOV in the North of VN is pretty cold so swimming is not comfortable..but you can have good sunny days in the South (weather in the South is nearly the same all the time, the difference in temperature between seasons is almost unnoticeable) and the beaches are great...
Anyway, let's spend time along Vietnam, there are some differences among the North, Central and The South of VN in weather, culture, people and scenery...., you may find it interesting...:)
Have a great time in VN...looking forward to hear from you when you are in VN
